Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Skyline Cloud LLC ("Skyline Cloud", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use skylinecloud.ai and our services, including website hosting, animated logos, and Chore HQ. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information: your email address and password when you register. Passwords are stored in hashed form, never as plain text.
• Order information: the items you buy, your email address, and order details. Payment details are collected by Stripe (see Payments).
• Project content: logos, images, text, and business information you send us to build your website or animation.
• Chore HQ data: household members' names or nicknames, tasks, routines, and reward or allowance records you choose to enter.
• Communications: emails, calls, and messages you send us (including through Facebook), and any information you include in them.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
• Cookies: a small number of essential cookies (see Cookies).

2. How we use it

• To provide our services: build and host websites, produce logo animations, and run Chore HQ.
• To process orders and send confirmations, receipts, and service notices.
• To respond to your questions and provide support.
• To keep our services secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
• To show finished work in our portfolio, unless you ask us not to.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

3. How we share it

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

• Stripe, to process payments;
• Hosting and email providers, to run our servers and deliver email;
• Content delivery networks (such as cdnjs and Google Fonts) that serve code libraries and fonts on some pages; like any web server, they receive your IP address when your browser loads those files.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).

4. Cookies

We use only cookies that are necessary for the site to work:

• Sign-in cookie: keeps you logged in to your account.
• Session cookie: remembers your cart while you shop for logos.
• Security cookies: help protect forms against forgery.

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Some pages remember small preferences (such as a light or dark theme) in your browser's local storage; this stays on your device. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but signing in and checkout won't work without them.

5. Payments

Checkout is handled on Stripe's secure payment page. Your card number and security code go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe shares with us the information needed to confirm your order, such as your name, email address, the amount paid, and the payment status. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and Chore HQ information while your account is open. We keep website content for as long as we host your site. Order and billing records are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

8. Your choices & rights

You can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct information that's inaccurate;
• Delete your account and personal information (we may keep records we're legally required to keep);
• Remove your project from our portfolio.

Email support@skylinecloud.ai from the address on your account and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them as required.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. Chore HQ is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian; children do not create their own accounts. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Data on client websites

If we host a website for your business, you control the information your site collects from your own visitors (for example, through a contact form, store, or class registration). We process that information on your behalf to provide hosting. You're responsible for your site's own privacy notice, and we're happy to help you set one up.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll notify customers by email.
